....is finally laying! She didn't lay it in the nesting box though. Instead she made her own little nest up against the big door that swings open. Her egg is the one on the left. The one on the right is from our Austrolorp. Attachments:

I like the buff hens... Nice and good for a egg or sometimes 2 a day.

My Buffs have slowed down to only two eggs every two or three days. Not sure what thats about.

We've got 7 buff hens but she is the 1st to lay. One other one should lay soon but the other 5 are still too young. We plan on hatching some out next Spring & we will be selling them.
