Other than the current pattern of afternoon popup storms and the occasional Atlantic High that keeps them out of here for a day or two, nothing really spectacular is on the immediate horizon for our weather (as it stands now) There is a Gulf Low that is threatening to turn Tropical in nature that the GFS keeps tossing out there, but what it'll do when and where keep changing frequently, plus I don't have any jobs scheduled to start in the next week or so, so Murphy's Law says it ain't gonna happen.
If anything changes, I'll let you know asap.

I was fortunate enough to be invited to hunt a 300ac track of land my neighbor owns in Crawfordville Ga this year... The trade is to help him work the land (clearing roads, bush hawgin) ... Anyway, we some amazing lightning yesterday that spooked me tadeaf! Storm stayed to our east for the most part but the lightning showed me that you don't have to be in the thick of things for it to show its self! back home now and all signs point to we had a terd floater here... Power has been out and all the ditches are full of water!

A few dissipating cells in the NW GA mtns this morning, but look what's coming in behind it. All of this may lose some steam moving in this early but don't think it's over. There should be a re-firing of TS activity this afternoon well into tonight for us here in Ga.

If you're anywhere near a radar and can watch what just happened as that line of storms came over the mountain on the west side of Rome Georgia you will see a textbook example of orographic lift. They were decent storms before they hit the range but when they topped over it they exploded into some monsters. You boys and girls on that side of town watch your six. These are some mean ones.

Cells are firing early this morning kiddies. Still coming from the WNW so you W. Ga. folks above I-20 need to expect some more spectacular light shows and wind as the orographic lift is in full effect as these cells pop over the tail of the Appalachain mountain range in NE AL. / NW Ga. Folks south I-20 should feel left out either, there will be plenty of action for you later this afternoon as daytime heating really gets these cells popping.

They're gettin hammered up on the Ky / Tn border. These two cells are spitting out rotation signatures loud and clear. The image on the right shows the void in the cells that the radar sees that indicates rotation. Looking on my other site for storm reports to see if anything is reaching the ground. I circled the areas of rotation in red on the left.

Well that answers that. The southern most cell (largest echo cavitation) did create damage in Missouri. Now we wait and see if it's still on the ground and get more reports.
