We will have the opportunity to possibly witness a new meteor shower on Friday night. Estimates (since it has never happened before) are from nil to upwards of 400 meteors per hour. I've seen 100 meteor per hour showers and it is pretty good, I can't imagine a 400 mph shower. That would be spectacular. So if you are where you can get away from any lights, especially the high magnitude ambiance of city lights, and get way out in the country, or go camping with Sarah Fair this weekend (just kidding) you quite possibly could be in for a real treat. earthsky.org/space/comet-209p-linear-meteor-shower-storm-may-2014and the weather conditions around the country for viewing. www.accuweather.com/en/features/trend/viewable_for_the_first_time_ne/27352068

I remember seeing a shower as a child, maybe 12-15 years ago that had TONS of meteors. We were out in the middle of lake Lanier so it was really an awesome show!
