Has anyone tried growing potato's in a wood box? How did it turn out? Looks like a cool little project for the kids.
Thanks

I found a couple of boxes for sale here in town, trying to determine whether the price is okay or not. I'd ask Rob, but he'll just tell me that I'll end up making a big mess and to NOT buy them. They're 3'l*3'w*2'h the chick selling them wants $30. Too much? Great deal? I know NOTHING about the cost of lumber.

I have never grown potatoes in a box. I usually plant seed potatoes 4 inches deep in a mixture of straw and dirt. As the plant grows I keep adding straw and dirt around the plant leaving the top 6 to 8 inches exposed. Potatoes are easy to grow!

Not sure if I would buy any wood, but I think I have enough laying around to have a cool saturday project for the chillens. Will let ya'll know in a few months.
