We created a bunch of structure in the farm pond by making PVC trees. I think we used 1 1/2", or 2" PVC as the trunk, and then drilled 1/4" holes approximately every 6", staggering the direction of holes and ran 1/4 " PVC pipe thru it. Took 2 1/2 gallon buckets and cemented them in, then strategically placed in different locations.
They last for years, and really difficult to get a lure hung up in them.
Bad news, my bro won't tell me where they are . .

Now did you slide the pipe all the way thru or just glue it at the base? Naw, he's just aggravating me like he has for the past 50yrs... According to the depth you want to place it, we used anywhere from 6' - 8' "trunks" , also using 6' - 8' "limbs" sliding the 1/4" pipe in where equal amounts hang out on each side, also staggering different length limbs. There's plenty of cover/stumps/trees/logs in the head of the pond, just used these in the deeper parts. Cheap and easy.

I remember the first time I saw some of those. I was out on West Point during the winter when the water was down checking out structure for spring fishing. I rounded a point into a cove and there was pvc sticking out the water everywhere. I asked a guy I fished with what it was and figured it out real quick in the spring when the water came up.

Another plus to the PVC trees, versus real trees is you can't hardly hang/lose a bait on the PVC.

I call it "trick" casting, I've seen her cast backwards and behind her and STILL catch a fish !! I'll be watching her out of the corner of my eye and see her concentrating on where she wants to throw, but there just ain't no telling where it's gonna go !!!

I have seen him hang a tree in front of us, rip the buzz bait out, it goes by my head he start working it over the top of his head ( we are in a canoe) and he catch's a bass...He is one of those that you think can catch fish in a mud puddle....

According to my fishing buddies, who are all professional liars, I provide non stop humor on those tiny trout streams in N GA.
