Hugh, I am about 4 miles east of Unicoi State Park.
Is the increased rain possibility coming from that depression developing over FL?
Not really. The high pressure will finally be letting up over our region which will allow some destabilization to move in from the NNW. The folks in SOWEGA will see more effects from the depression than we will. Ours will be back to the same ol' hit and miss TS activity.
FWIW, I practice Murphy's Law and created this impending forecast by weed eating down my few stalks of corn and beans that were actually trying to produce. If I have time tomorrow or Monday I'll wash and wax my truck, that'll lock it in for sure.

Well, we were blessed the week of the 4th. Had a very nasty storm come through Monday afternoon. But after that, it was great camping weather! Lower humidity and temps just right for swimming. Now its hot and humid and back at work.
